Music To Art To #4: Harold Budd
Harold Budd is a contemporary composer who crafts inviting, spacious, atmospheric musical places that I've long enjoyed visiting. His music is like weather; undeniable in it's natural beauty, encompassing and shifting at it's own whims. Below you'll find two of my very favorite albums.
The album below, "The Pavilion of Dreams" (1978), was my initial experience of Harold Budd, and I remain entranced by the album to this day. Unsurprisingly, it was produced by a fellow often found near to much of my well-liked musics, Brian Eno.
