Rose Kemp - Golden Shroud

I wouldn't call myself a metal fan, but from the first listening of Rose Kemp's "Golden Shroud" I was blown away. Her vocal abilities are astounding, expressive & powerful. She's the daughter of two folk musicians who were part of "Steeleye Span", an English folk-rock group that emerged in the late 60's. This could explain the rare blending of medieval sounding harmonies with modern metal/drone sounds. The content of this album is dark and visceral, yet to me, maintains a sense of humanity. Rose Kemp rules.
