Étienne Daho - Sortir ce soir
I don't remember where I found Étienne Daho's first album "La Notte, la Notte". It was either a record shop, thrift store or garage sale.
My purchase was entirely motivated by the exceptional the album art.
I was pleasantly surprised at the music of this bird-laden frenchman; light, airy pop music, with simple vocals and tasteful instrumentation. Well used drum machines and sequenced synth lines abound in this album, capturing an easy-going vibe which echoes the album's title: (translated) "The Night, the Night".
The track "Week-end à Rome" is another favorite from the same album:
